NATIONAL GALLERY OF SLOVENIA
NGS is the main public art museum in Slovenia. Founded in 1918, it contains the country’s largest collection of older visual art. It works with several foreign organizations to foster modern audience development. Among them are: Museo del Prado and Museo Uffizi (exhibition set-up), Petit Palais, Paris (exhibition projects), Galerija Matice srpske (education programming), Eau&Lumiere (tourism), and National University of Galway (fine art studies). Youth audience development has been steered by the Education Department since its establishment in 1963. The Gallery welcomes around 20 thousand young visitors each year.
KUNSTHISTORISCHES MUSEUM VIENNA
KHM is the largest museum for Old Masters, Sculpture, Decorative Art and Ancient Culture in Austria. Important international museum partners are: Städel (Frankfurt), Staatliche Museen (Dresden), Museo del Prado (Madrid), Royal Academy (London) and many others. Within the art education department, for the last five years, the focus has been on the development of youth programmes operating with studio activities, discursive, playful and interactive elements, thus complementing historically contextualized approach to traditional art. The efforts have resulted in a 70% increase of school group bookings. In 2014 we welcomed approximately 41,000 pupils to our museum.
GALLERY OF MATICA SRPSKA
GMS, with its art collection ranging from the 16th to the 21st century, represents one of the most important museums in Serbia. Located in the centre of Novi Sad, it has a permanent display of paintings, prints and drawings from the 18th to the 19th century. The Collection illustrates the birth and development of the Serbian art of The New Age and puts the national culture in European context. The Gallery has been developing different programmes for public, and has been particularly successful with programmes for younger children. Consequently, the next step is to engage more the youth. All in all, the Gallery strives to create a positive attitude towards museums and cultural heritage and to involve young people in an interesting way. During last year Gallery welcomed over 15,000 children.
INNOVACIÓN SOCIAL EMPRENDEDORES SOCIALES - ISES
ISES is a non-profit organisation working in the field of education, developing specific training programmes using different methodologies. Design Thinking, Social Media, Games and iCloud concept are used to support learning and social inclusion. ISES works on different EU projects: trainers’ training, supervising training on cascade, and developing specific training programmes for youth focused on cultural heritage, social benefits, and empowerment (EU projects such as: Social Inclusion Techniques in Vocational Education and Training - SITinVET, Impact Of Relationship (IOR), Sagittarius ETCP Project). In addition, ISES is designing a new MOOC, by prototyping different learning activities.
